There are four different classes to choose from–the Open Bible Study on the seven “acceptable” sins; a class on servant evangelism; a class on prayer; and a class on biblical womanhood.

Tonight the men of the Dean’s class are headed to Louisville Slugger field to watch the Louisville Bats take on the Buffalo Bison! We are meeting at Robbie, Justin, etc.’s house at 6:45. Rumor has it that the Bats are going to get Will Conway to step in and do some pitching, if their pitchers aren’t getting the job done. Guys, you don’t want to miss this!
The women’s fellowship will be meeting this Thursday, June 19 at 7 p.m. at the Coppenger’s house to watch a movie. Feel free to bring snacks. Katherine “Yeah, Jen mashed ‘em!” Powell is bringing a movie line-up and we’ll choose from her grand selection. Hope y’all can make it. The kingdoms of this world can always be shaken. Military invasion can destroy the kingdom from the outside. Subversive treason can undermine the kingdom from inside.
Yet, the author of Hebrews makes clear that there is a Kingdom that cannot be shaken–the Kingdom of Christ. Dr. Moore continued in his series through the book of Hebrews by preaching about the nature of this Kingdom and how that should drive us to Kingdom warfare through the way we live:

In the Dean’s Class, we count it a great joy and privilege to be able to intercede for one another in prayer, coming boldly before the throne of grace. And we know that God hears us, for we know we are in Christ.
This week please remember to pray for Miss Shawna’s mother’s health; Lauren Farmer’s health; the Clarks (who are in Barbados); Asa’s upcoming mission trip to South Dakota; Scott’s evangelistic opportunities with his co-worker, Margaret; Andrew’s home church, decimated by the flooding in Iowa; Carsten’s brother-in-law, leaving soon for Iraq; and Raymond and Megan’s upcoming wedding.
Unfortunately, Clyde “The Glide” Drexler’s finger-roll finishes won’t be gracing the court during Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Los Angeles. But Kobe and the L*kers will be taking on KG and the Celtics for another installment of the men’s fellowship tonight.
Like last week, we’ll be meeting at Carsten and Andrew’s place. The game begins at 8:30 p.m., but our fun will begin at 8. As always, please feel free to bring some friends. We’ll also be ordering pizza for whoever wants some.
And even though Mr. Drexler won’t be there, Justin “Clyde… T. Francisco Preaching Award Winner” Sampler may be. At least for a few minutes. One can hope.
